Kuang Si Falls is a dusty ride 29-km south of town. This huge, multi-tiered waterfall tumbles over interesting limestone formations, into a series of cool, turquoise pools where children splash and play. There is a park with picnic tables, and soft drinks and snacks are sold. A trail on the left side of the falls will lead you to a less-visited second tier with a pool large enough to swim in. It is all very serene and photogenic.
