Near the town's post office is Wat Mai Suwannaphumaham. This temple was built
in 1796 and has a remarkable front veranda with decorated columns and doors
covered with sumptuous gold relief panels recounting events in the life of Versantra,
the Buddha's penultimate incarnation.
There are other temples worth a visit on Phu Si Hill and just across the river.
